Nothing Can Dim the Light which Shines From Within

“Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.”Maya Angelou

To be honest with you, I didn’t know about Maya Angelou till President Clinton invited her to recite the poem on his inauguration in 1993. Some of her writings and work touched me ever since that time for I could relate to my personal situations. Most of her quotes reflect from her own experience and people around her.  She has been successful in sending convincing messages on the feelings of people who are deprived of their basic rights like others.

Ma1 ma2 ma3 ma4 ma5 ma6

She taught us to live as confident individuals who wouldn’t be scared with failures rather converting the adversaries to advantage. The sufferings being faced by many in societies around the world should change for a better tomorrow wherein everyone enjoys their life the way they deserve naturally. That would be the greatest tribute to her as I pay homage to the Genius of Maya Angelou.

The Virtue Of Extraordinary You

Courage is the ladder on which all other virtues mount. Virtue can only flourish among equals.

Yes, The High Wire courageous tight rope walk over Niagara Falls Nik Wallenda demonstrated last year or the next High wire walk he is scheduled to do over Grand Canyon next month could be first of the things coming on to the mind when we read the above quotes.

High Wire Courageous Act

High Wire Courageous Act

Well that is not my point, exactly. He is really courageous and awesome. He inspires everyone to get out of the comfort zone.  If high wire is passion and way of life for him, it may be be something else for you and me. That is my point.

Getting out of Comfort zone

Getting out of Comfort zone

To decide to be at the level of choice, is to take responsibility for your life and to be in control of your life.

Decision by Indecision or Action by Inaction – This is not going to take me anywhere. There are some success stories from the history, though. But, those were more like ” Don’t hurry with things” type. We are good.

There is certain amount of courage needed to carry on with our daily business and life. It takes higher level of courage and determination to go past this and

enter level the next level of life. That is how you bring the extraordinary you from yourself and deliver our responsibilities in style.

Fortune favors the brave – and I add to that Fortune favors the brave who shows the courage to deliver responsibilities outside comfort zone.

Snow or Shine

Whenever I go to Walmart I see this older gentleman. He shows no emotion or expression on his face. He is the one who backs up all the shopping carts spread all over the parking lot.

It is snowing heavily today. I saw him doing his job as like he is unaware of snow scenario.

I have seen him in hot afternoons of summer also backing up the shopping cart when mercury touches like 90 or 100 plus degrees. He is unaware of the sun.

Most of us have indoor jobs. Still .. Why do we complain about weather. Cleaning up the car for 5 minutes from snow etc. I think we have an option to complain and the man who backs up the cart doesn’t.

He has been eye opener for me as I have been sharing this inspirational story with all my friends.

Hard work is the royal road to success! Snow or Shine!
